Melon, pair, and anise on the nose, flowing through to steamed rice, macadamia and peaches. Very slight umami on the palate with lemon curd, vanilla bean and jasmine, complemented by a pleasant bitterness on the finish. A very approachable shochu, great for those new to the style.
