We excluded 1) those with diagnoses of AF, atrial tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, mechanical valve, hyperthyroidism, or mitral stenosis before or on the index date, 2) those with cardiac events (i.e., myocardial infarction, percutaneous intervention, valve/bypass surgery) in the preceding 3 months, 3) those currently receiving antiarrhythmic medications (e.g., amiodarone, dronedarone, flecainide, propafenone, or dofetilide) on the index date, 4) those who used insulin within one year prior or on the index date, and 5) those who do not have hemoglobin A1C (HbA1c) within one year prior or on the index date (eFigure 1)
If cancer is found in the sentinel lymph node, more lymph nodes may be removed
