As you may have read from the title, it is a converted jewel: originally the head was in fact part of a button cover, which we converted (in fact) into a ring, adding the stem (which is therefore new and in 18K yellow gold). To decorate the central part we therefore find an insect (perhaps a beetle), made down to the smallest detail. The body is mostly
